Dr. Julia Giese
Dr. Julia Giese is a Lecturer at the Göttingen Diversity Research. She holds a PhD from Loughborough University London for her research on Embodied Partitions - Encoutering performances of embodied memories and identities among British Bangladeshi women in Tower Hamlets at the Institute for Media and Creative Industries. For her Master’s degree in Global Studies, Julia studied at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin in Germany, Stellenbosch University in South Africa and Jawaharlal-Nehru-University in India. She is interested in digital media work, notions of diasporic and gendered embodiment as well as creative and digital methodologies.
