Project International Career Guidance

Overview

In order to professionally prepare German and international students for the requirements of the global job market during their Bachelor's or Master's studies, the Career Service of the University of Göttingen designed a support service across all faculties with the project "International Career Counseling".

As part of the project, which was financed by central study quality funds, the Career Service provided special support to German and international students in their orientation, job search, and application for international activities from April 2015 to March 2022.

For this purpose, various formats of counseling work, events, and digital tools were tested and further developed. In the second funding phase (2017-22), the focus was on the systematic introduction and support for informal learning and reflection platforms in peer formats as part of the modular qualification program "Building International Careers," as well as the development of needs-based in-depth information and orientation services on the main topics of "Working in Germany" and "Internship Abroad".
