Regular Events
The GCG regularly organizes three formats of events in order to expand scientific exchange and to initiate research cooperations within the realm of Gender Studies:

1.) Symposium
2.) Guest Lectures
3.) GenderLabor

The symposium in the first place aims at discussing innovative theoretical and methodological fields within the international Gender Studies. It also offers a space to reflect on recent issues of gender – and equality policies. It is planned to be organized by changing sponsorships/responsibilities.
For the guest lectures renowned international scientists are invited in order to promote international knowledge transfer within Gender Studies in Göttingen.

Cooperation
In addition to the regular events the GCG promotes further event activities of Gender Studies on regional and supra-regional level. Within the Georg-August-University of Göttingen, the GCG cooperates with faculties and institutes of the members in the first place. However, it also cooperates with other institutions and centres, such as the Office for Equal Opportunities and Diversity and the Diversity Management. The GCG among others further cooperates with the Göttingen Diversity Research Institute and the Centre for Modern Indian Studies (CeMIS).

By providing funds and infrastructure for events (such as lecture series and workshops) of institutes/chairs or student initiatives, the GCG supports the general expansion and deepening of topics and perspectives of Gender Studies in Göttingen.
