Beschreibung	The EU Office at the University of Göttingen will offer an event on the "European Research Council (ERC) - EU-Funding for Starting (StG) Researchers" on Thursday, 27 June 2019, from 10:00 to 12:00 a.m. in the meeting room (1st floor) at Papendiek 14, 37073 Göttingen. ERC Starting Grants aim at excellent early career researchers (2 - 7 years after PhD), who want to start an independent career and build up an own research group. The ERC's mission is to promote the highest quality research in Europe by offering ERC‐funding schemes that are “investigator‐driven” or “bottom‐up” thus allowing researchers a great degree of flexibility to identify new opportunities and directions in any field of research. ERC grants are awarded through open competition to projects headed by researchers at various career stages, irrespective of their origins. The sole criterion is scientific excellence. Researchers and scholars in all academic disciplines are invited to attend. Please, register by Friday, 14 June 2019. Presentations will be held in English. Please note that the EU Office will offer another event on ERC Consolidator Grants (7 - 12 years after PhD) in October 2019.
