Study Programme - Detailed Requirements

For successful completion of the programme, you have to obtain 29 ECTS. 1 ECTS corresponds to a workload of 30 hours.

1. Statistical Methods (12 C)

• Introduction to Mixed Models
• Introduction to Spatial Statistics
• Advances in Spatial Statistics OR
  Generalized Regression

2. Specialisation (3 C)

• Thesis-specific choice from courses offered within the MSc and PhD programms of the involved faculties or from courses offered specifically for the RTG, which will be offered following the students' needs

3. Research Seminars and RTG Colloquium (6 C)

• 2 RTG research seminars (2 C each)
• RTG Colloquium (6 semesters, 2 C in total)

4. Conferences & RTG Summer Schools (4 C)

• Active participation (oral or poster presentation) in 2 RTG summer schools (1 C each)
• Active participation (oral or poster presentation) in 2 conferences (1 C each)

5. Skills Training (4 C)

• Diversity Competence (1 C)
• Good Scientific practice (1 C)
• Compulsory elective (2 C): courses from the university's general offer (see www.qualiportal-promovierende.uni-goettingen.de) or the RTG's specific offer, e.g. Scientific Writing, Time Managment, Career Management
