Disappearing forest species and altered guild composition: bird community responses to land transformation in Jambi, Sumatra, Indonesia
In my master thesis, I investigate the response of bird community towards land transformation in Jambi, Sumatra, Indonesia. First, related to the birds abundance and species richness. And the second, related to the feeding guilds as a proxy of functional diversity. The data collected by conducting bird point counts on the 32 core plots and additional 16 homegardens. This thesis work is jointly supervised by Yann Clough (Lund University / CRC 990 EFForTS Project) and Prof. Raphael Arlettaz (University of Bern).
