Flowering and fruiting ecology of ironwood (Eusideroxylon zwageri Teijsm. & Binn.) (ABS Funds)
Dr. Bambang Irawan is dean of the Forestry Faculty, University of Jambi, Indonesia. His main research interest lies in the field of Eusideroxylon zwageri Teijsm. & Binn (family Lauraceae) - a rare timber tree native to the Malesia region (Brunei, Flores, Java, Kalimantan and Sumatra). It is known colloquially in English as Borneo ironwood. Currently, he is working on the flowering and fruiting ecology of ironwood, and on its propagation and silvicultural management.
