SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

My main fields of interest are immunology, toxicology, and protein characterization. I have experienced how a timely diagnosis and appropriate therapy drastically improve the outcome of patients. My main goals are to study the mechanisms of enzymatic action, how they lead to cell damage and the immune system response to envenomings, thus, helping to develop better, more accessible therapeutic options. Even so, I am open to new research paths that may prove exciting throughout my upcoming studies.
