SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS
I am fascinated by the idea that what identifies an organism can be narrowed down to molecular processes. This is especially true for genetics, as all organisms save their hereditary information in nucleic acids. In addition to this scientific curiosity, my interest derives from my aim to contribute to the development of cures against diseases like cancer. Thus, I am particularly interested in medical basic research in genetics, but I am also eager to generally improve my knowledge about the complexity and interconnectivity of molecular processes.
