While the focus of the PhD is on the individual research project in the lab of a Neuro faculty member, the doctoral research is accompanied by a structured and comprehensive qualification program offered by GAUSS and GGNB together with its partners. You will acquire state-of-the art methodological skills tailored to your scientific interest and receive additional training in professional/transferable skills. Annual retreats of our Neurosciences program, the student-organized biennial international symposium Neurizons and regular cultural nights contribute to a close personal and scientific exchange among our students and beyond. In addition to the advice you receive from your thesis advisory committee and peers, you will be invited to individual counselling sessions by the scientific coordinator of the program and to a recently launched pilot project on stress prevention with individual coaching sessions, offered in combination with workshops on resilience and mental strength.Qualification and Support
