SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

As a broad field that requires cutting-edge techniques, molecular biology needs appropriate tools that move it forward. From an applied point of view, designing, developing and assaying biological tools seems to me a very interesting field because it paves the way for unraveling the underlying mechanisms of cancer or degenerative diseases and allows us to confront them efficiently. Besides this, I have always been fascinated by the randomness and specificity in the field of immunology, the molecular basis of memory and behavior, and the decisive role of epigenetic regulation. I hope to explore these fields and more in my time here.
