SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

My primary interests lie currently in the area of gene expression and regulation, especially RNA interference and epigenetic chromatin modification. I am particularly interested in applying these mechanisms to oncology and cancer therapy. However, I am willingly keeping an open mind to other areas in biology that I have not fully experienced yet, especially stem cells and regenerative medicine. There are so many fascinating fields and subfields in the study of life; I just hope to discover an area of research that I am truly passionate about during my time in Göttingen.
