SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS
My major interests are within the field of molecular biology, as it helps unravel the mysteries of all the biological interactions. For the last two years I have been studying the mitochondria response to acute hypoxic insult and, although I do not wish to close any doors, it would be interesting to increase my knowledge of this organelle. Furthermore, I have always been fascinated by the RNA world, specially the mechanisms of RNA interference.
