Global Exchange Programme

Introduction to the Global Exchange Programme

The Global Exchange Programme presents an incredible opportunity to embark on a semester or year-long adventure at our esteemed Göttingen University's partner institutions worldwide. Although it is possible that some partner universities may not offer courses specifically focused on biology or psychology, this circumstance actually presents an extraordinary opportunity for students to expand their horizons and venture into subjects beyond their primary area of study. We are unable to provide detailed information on the specific study options available at each partner university, as it is best to directly contact the respective institutions for comprehensive details. Additionally, our dedicated team at Göttingen International offers a friendly counselling service by our knowledgeable colleagues, which we strongly recommend to all interested students before submitting their applications. This invaluable resource will aid you in gathering information and making informed decisions about your study abroad experience.

Furthermore, the Global Exchange Programme provides students with valuable additional benefits. Firstly, there are no tuition fees at the partner university, alleviating the financial burden and making this opportunity more accessible. Secondly, administrative assistance is offered to students throughout the application process in Göttingen, ensuring a smooth and streamlined experience. Additionally, once students are enrolled in the partner university, they can expect ongoing support and assistance. These supplementary benefits further enhance the appeal of the Global Exchange Programme and contribute to its success in fostering rewarding and enriching international academic journeys.

When it comes to the application process, here are some important points to keep in mind

Number of universities: It is highly recommended to apply to multiple universities within the Global Exchange Programme. This is because, although your application may be successful, there is no guarantee that you will be placed in your first-choice university.

Motivation letter: In your motivation letter, be sure to provide relevant information to all the universities you have selected. Tailoring your motivation letter to each university demonstrates your commitment and genuine interest in the exchange experience.

Certificates: Along with your application, be sure to submit proof of your language proficiency, any additional preparations you have undertaken, and any social or socio-political commitments you have participated in.

For further information, especially regarding the selection criteria, we encourage you to attend our event titled "Go abroad." This event will provide comprehensive details and insights into the selection process, ensuring that you are well-informed and prepared to submit a strong application. By considering these application guidelines and taking advantage of available resources, you can enhance your chances of a successful exchange experience. Detailed information can be found on the website of Göttingen International.
