SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

I am highly interested in the process of aging and neurodegenerative diseases. Especially fascinating for me is the proteostasis and how it is connected to these diseases. I would also like to explore the genetic predispositions which lead to neurodegenerative diseases in my future research. Additionally, I am interested in developmental genetics and epigenetics. Especially, how epigenetic processes could be used as a tool for research and medicine. Apart from that, I think that science communication is an extremely important field in that I want to further develop my skills.
