SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

I am interested in studying amyloidogenesis, the process of protein misfolding and aggregation that underlies devastating neurodegenerative diseases like Parkinson's, Huntington's, and Alzheimer's. My research focus is particularly drawn to the role of liquid-liquid phase separation (LLPS) in amyloid formation. I believe that understanding the precise mechanisms driving this process is critical for developing effective therapeutic inventions. To effectively address this complex problem, I am committed to an interdisciplinary approach. I am eager to explore a wide range of topics and push the boundaries of what I know during the study course. In addition, I recognize the importance of strong programming skills for validating and presenting experimental data, and I am committed to developing them as well.
