"The Politics of Poverty and the Politics of the Poor in Modern South Asia"

Im Juli 2011 organisierte die CeMIS-Forschungsgruppe "Moderne Indische Geschichte" den internationalen Workshop "The Politics of Poverty and the Politics of the Poor in Modern South Asia" in Göttingen.

Der Workshop hat sich mit der kolonialen und post-kolonialen Politik der sozialen Fürsorge ("politics of poverty") im Zusammenhang mit der Politik von Unterprivilegierten ("the politics of the poor") in Südasien beschäftigt.
