Upcoming Publications
- Ilaria Frana's dissertation ("Concealed Questions. In Search of Answers") has been accepted for publication in the series "Oxford studies in Theorethical Linguistics" , Oxford University Press.
- Márta Abrusán's paper on "Predicting the Presuppositions of Soft Triggers" was recently accepted to Linguistics and Philosophy.
Göttingen Semanticists at the DGfS
- Regine Eckardt gave a talk at the DGfS workshop "Language Change and the Interface", organized by Agnes Jäger, Chiara Gianollo and Doris Penka. Her talk was entitled "Bottom- Up and Top-Down Change".
- Edgar Onea and Floris Roelefsen (University of Amsterdam) organized the workshop "Questions in Discourse".
Mailin Antomo was one of the speakers at the workshop. Her talk was entitled "Embedded Clauses and the Question Under Discussion". - Augustin Speyer presented "A centering account for the changing usage of anaphoric expressions in the history of German" at the workshop "Historical Perspectives on the Properties of Anaphors in Discourse", organized by Marco Coniglio, Karin Donhauser, Svetlana Petrova, and Eva Schlachter.

- Eva Csipak will present on the "The factivity of pizza subjunctives" at CLS 48.
- On March 22, Regine Eckardt presented on "Particles and Discourse Management" at the workshop "Literature meets Linguistics" (Nijmegen).
- Ilaria Frana and Paula Menéndez-Benito will present at the workshop "Modality@OttawaU". Ilaria's talk is on "Adnominal Conditionals and Modal NPs". Paula will present, together with Luis Alonso-Ovalle (McGill) on "Indifference and modality: the case of Spanish 'uno cualquiera' "
Manfred Sailer to Frankfurt
- Manfred Sailer has accepted a professorship in English Linguistics at the Goethe-University Frankfurt. He will start there on April 1, 2012. He will continue his work on the syntax-semantics interface in Frankfurt.
