SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS
I am intrigued by how life starts from a single cell to give rise to diverse life forms. I am interested in understanding the basic principles that shape development, from molecular to cellular level that are then translated to tissue level changes in multicellular organisms. I am therefore interested in understanding how these processes are conserved across species along with how differences arise to give rise to complexity. My overall goal is to study developmental processes at different levels to better understand how disorders arise not just during development but during the entire lifetime of an organism.
