SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

Driven by my deep fascination for natural sciences I am captivated by the diverse field of molecular biology, as it combines fundamental sciences such as chemistry, physics, and biology to study the molecular basis of life. Given my broad interest in life sciences, what drives me is to uncover and understand fundamental processes and the complexity of living organisms such as the diverse interactions and dependencies of individual proteins and entire pathways. I have developed a great interest in biological membranes regarding their complexity and diversity and the development and optimization of new methods for the study of membranes and membrane proteins, aiding in targeting current research questions. Generally, I am eager to contribute my part to multidisciplinary research and am excited to sharpen and extend my scientific knowledge through the MSc/PhD Molecular Biology program.
