SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS
During my bachelor thesis I found a passion in the complexity of the regulation of gene expression in human cells. Given that gene expression is regulated differently depending on cell type, tissue and health status (e.g. tumor cells) resulting in an enormous variety of possible actions and reactions in a single cell, is fascinating me. My aim is to expand my understanding of these mechanisms and to utilize this insight for future research in the fields of oncology and genetics. That said, I do not want to limit my view only to certain areas but rather keep my mind constantly open for novel ideas and experiences, which could influence my scientific interests.
