Projects A1 and A2 will be discontinued, and a new subproject (A6) is proposed with a focus on poverty and gender that spans the infra-household to the national level. The three proposed projects assess the economic and social stability of the rainforest margin, the socio-economic and institutional processes and drivers of land use change, and provide market and non-market valuation information for the design and assessment of (un-) sustainable development scenarios for the project region.
