Joint PhD Colloquium in Göttingen

On September 26 and 27, Ph.D. students from the University of Göttingen, TU Kaiserslautern, and EDHEC Lille met in Göttingen to present the current state of their research and discuss conceptual and methodological issues.

It was a great pleasure for us to welcome Prof. Ana Ortiz de Guinea Lopez de Arana (HEC Montreal), Prof. José Benitez (EDHEC Lille), and Prof. Dennis Steininger (TU Kaiserslautern) in Göttingen to discuss, question and reflect on the different research topics presented.

José Benitez is a Full Professor of Management Information Systems at EDHEC Business School, Lille, and Paris, France. His research has been published in top IS journals such as MIS Quarterly, Journal of the Association for Information Systems, European Journal of Information Systems, Journal of Information Technology, Information & Management, Decision Support Systems, Decision Sciences, and Journal of Business Research. Jose's engagement with the IS discipline has been recognized, designating him as an Association for Information Systems Distinguished Member Cum Laude. He currently serves as Senior Editor of the European Journal of Information Systems and Decision Support Systems and as Associate Editor for the Journal of the Association for Information Systems and Information & Management.

Ana Ortiz de Guinea is an Associate Professor at HEC Montréal. She is currently a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of the Association for Information Systems. Her research has appeared in journals such as MIS Quarterly, Journal of Management Information Systems, Journal of the Association for Information Systems, European Journal of Information Systems, and IEEE Transactions of Software Engineering.

Dennis Steininger is a Professor of Entrepreneurship and Digital Transformation at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern, Germany, and an Adjunct Faculty member of the Mannheim Business School, Germany. He is an incoming Associate Editor of the Information Systems Journal and a current member of the Editorial Board of the Management Review Quarterly. His work appears in outlets such as the Journal of Management Information Systems, Journal of the Association for Information Systems, Information Systems Journal, International Journal of Entrepreneurial Venturing, Business & Information Systems Engineering, or Technological Forecasting and Social Change.
