• Dr Nathan MacDonald is Leader of the Sofja-Kovalevskaja Research Team and Reader in Old Testament at the University of St Andrews. He was educated at the universities of Cambridge and Durham and has undertaken post-doctoral research at Ludwig-Maximillians Universität München. He is the author of Deuteronomy and the Meaning of “Monotheism” (Mohr Siebeck, 2003), Not Bread Alone (OUP, 2008) and What Did the Ancient Israelites Eat (Eerdmans, 2008).
• Dr Izaak de Hulster is a post-doctoral researcher on the team. He earned his doctorate at the University of Utrecht. He is the author of Iconographic Exegesis and Third Isaiah (Mohr Siebeck, 2009) and co-editor (with Rüdiger Schmitt) of Iconography and Biblical Studies (Ugarit-Verlag, 2009).
• Dr Rob Barrett is a post-doctoral researcher on the team and a visiting lecturer at Westminster Theological Centre. He was educated at Durham University, Regent College, Stanford University and Washington University in St. Louis. He is the author of Disloyalty and Destruction: Religion and Politics in Deuteronomy and the Modern World (T&T Clark International, 2009).
