Recent Research Activities:

  • 2007-2008: Conducted a research on Tourism Development in Angkor: Its Impacts on Local Communities and Subsequent Changes in the Livelihood Strategies of Local Villagers with Funding from Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research, Promotion Research of Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS).
  • August, 2006: Participated in the research project led by Professor Tadashi Ebisawa (Japanese historian) on Cambodian wet-rice culture with funding from Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research, Foundation Research (B)(2) of Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS).
  • 2004-2007: Participated in the research project led by Professor Tadashi Ebisawa on Balinese wet-rice culture and rituals, with funding from Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research, Foundation Research (B)(2) of Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS).
