Julia König
Julia König studied German, Spanish and Education at the University of Göttingen before she worked as an assistant at the Department of German teaching bachelor-courses about didactics. In October 2009 she received a doctoral scholarship from the German National Merit Foundation and started her PhD research. Currently she is writing her thesis (advisor: Prof. Dr. Gerhard Lauer) about metaphor comprehension in literary texts. Her main research interests include the Empirical Study of Literature, Psycholinguistics and Cognitive Psychology regarding Metaphor Studies. In the Courant Research Center (CRC) “Textstructures” in Göttingen she benefits from the interdisciplinary environment. Julia König is a member of the Graduate School for the Humanities Göttingen (GSGG), as well as the International Society for the Empirical Study of Literature (IGEL).
