Digital Humanities at the Göttinger Literaturherbst
GCDG is taking part in the 20th Göttinger Literaturherbst (http://www.literaturherbst.de/) by co-organising one of its lectures. Viktor Mayer-Schönberger, Professor at the Oxford Internet Institute, will talk on „Delete: The vitue of forgetting in the digital age“. The lecture will take place on Thursday, 20 October 2011, 7pm, at the Aula am Wilhelmsplatz in Göttingen. In his book „Delete“, former software developer Mayer-Schönberger argued for an expiry date of data on the internet. The lecture will be introduced by the Executive Director of the GCDH, Gerhard Lauer, and moderated by Stephan Lohr from the German broadcaster NDR. Tickets will be available for EUR 12.-
