Personal details

Mr. Treis finished in 1961 his study of First State Law Examination at the Higher Regional Court in Hamm. Afterwards he earned the title Diplom-Kaufmann at the University in Munich in 1966. His doctoral thesis dealing with the subject of procurement of agricultural products was accomplished in 1969. From 1974 till 2003 Mr. Treis was the holder of the chair of general business administration, marketing and Retail at the University of Göttingen.

His research focuses are trade, marketing and competition law as well as methodical research and the use of organization simulation and simulation games. Another aspect of his research focus are environment management and quality management in retail and service companies.
