The phd project will deal with various aspects of the wood-based panel production:
a) Influence of chemical modification on the water-related (and mechanical) properties of wood particles and fibres for the production of wood-based panels, particularly particle boards and fibre boards (MDF)
b) Characterisation of the particle and fibre geometry after mechanical treatment and chemical modification
c) Investigation of the adhesive distribution in wood-based panel through nano-CT
