Knowledge research

The museum takes you along with on a research tour. The overall focus is on knowledge research, represented by the future professorship "The Materiality of Knowledge." For students, we will also be establishing a doctoral degree programme on the "Material Knowledge Cultures". The museum will thus become a scientific forum for a variety of disciplines, combining technical expertise with the extensive international network of Georgia Augusta.



The habitat in the organic waste bin outside your home is just as extreme as in an Antarctic polar desert. Christine Hallmann and team are researching Göttingen University's algae culture collection.
