Master Theses

There is no application deadline for Master's theses at the Chair of Marketing and Retail Management. Please contact the potential supervisors individually by email and include a current transcript of records. The Master's thesis topics are based on the research focus of the respective supervisor. Please let us know why you are interested in the respective topic area.

Please note: The number of supervised theses depends on the available supervision capacity of the chair. Please apply with sufficient lead time before the desired starting date. Short-term starts within 1-3 months are unfortunately not possible due to capacity constraints.

Process:

After agreeing on the topic of the Master's thesis with the supervisor, registration at the Examination Office takes place 6 weeks from the agreed start date. During this time, a exposé of the thesis must be prepared.
Approximately four weeks before submission, a colloquium is held with Professor Toporowski in which the current status of the thesis is discussed and final instructions are given.

Application requirements:

  • Successful completion of a seminar at the faculty.
  • At least one elective course in the field of Marketing or Business Information Systems.
