Content


Selected topics from Business Information Systems research are covered. Students write a seminar paper (40 pages) and present the results in the seminar. The course serves as preparation for the master's thesis. The seminar is conducted in block sessions, and students must attend and participate in all sessions.







Learning Objectives


Students should:


  • learn to familiarize themselves with a specific topic in a short time and write a scientific paper using explicit scientific research methods,

  • learn how to present their results to an audience,

  • learn to answer critical questions "ad hoc" and engage in discussion,

  • be prepared to write the master's thesis.








General Information


Requirements for credit recognition:


  • Completion of the seminar paper,

  • Timely submission of the seminar paper (in bound form) and as a PDF to the respective topic supervisor,

  • Presentation of the seminar paper at a presentation session and participation in all presentation sessions.
