Content
Initially, the data-driven approaches of Business Intelligence are contrasted with the common paradigms for solving business decision problems.
A representative selection of methods that follow these paradigms is presented.
The focus of the course then shifts to the methods of Business Intelligence. In the area of Data Warehousing, OLAP approaches, Data Warehouse modeling, ETL processes, and metadata are emphasized. Building on this, an introduction to Data Mining is provided, and some DM methods are presented.

Please note that the number of participants in this course is limited to 25. To participate in the course, a pre-registration is required until 14th April 2024 via the following form:

Please note that you are not yet registered in the course when you submit the form. You will receive a separate email on 15th April 2024 informing you whether you have been admitted. Students from the Business Information Systems program are given preference. Remaining places will be raffled among students from other programs.
