Neurophysics Lab and High Performance Computing (HPC)
The Neurophysics Laboratory and the High Performance Computing (HPC) Cluster provide a unique research infrastructure for the members of the CIDBN and form the link for collaboration projects between the members of the institute and the Göttingen Campus.
Vertebrate brains are probably the most complex systems nature has produced. The sheer number of cells and their nonlinear interactions pose major challenges to neuroscience. However, developments in physics provide methodological and conceptual support.
