SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

I am fascinated by a broad range of research topics in molecular biology including developmental biology, molecular genetics, infection biology and neuroscience. For example, I am interested in the communication between cells, signaling pathways involved in the development of an organism and the mechanisms behind cell differentiation. Another topic exciting to me is the examination of host-pathogen interaction and their co-evolution, primarily in animals and humans. Through the Molecular Biology Program I wish to deepen my knowledge in the abovementioned fields of research. Furthermore, I am eager to explore areas in the life sciences I am not yet familiar with like immunology or molecular medicine.
