SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

What intrigues me most among thousands of events happening inside our cell at this very moment is the way proteins precisely differentiate which biomolecule to interact with and which to not. Their malfunctioning gives rise to many health problems, some even life threatening. Consequently, I aim to explore further on their 3D structure-function relationships and someday engineer drugs for diseases caused by misfolded and mutated proteins.
