SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

Understanding the mechanism of transcription and translation and exploring the role of various components involved in its regulation fascinates me. For growth regulation, establishment and persistence of infection, the pathogen has to regulate its gene expression. I will pursue research work in the field of molecular biology trying exploring the different mechanisms of gene regulation of pathogens which would ultimately help in designing various drugs against them and therefore can serve the scientific society.
