Fit4EU

Fit4EU

Project Information:

The Jean Monnet project Fit4EU offers target-group-specific training for teaching the European Union in civic education at school. Participants learn diverse practical, theoratically grounded, and cognitively stimulating approaches and methods that contribute to the successful implementation of civic education on the European Union in the classroom. They also expand and update their subject-specific knowledge on European integration and engage with the goals and principles of civic education on the EU.

The training includes the testing of innovative, action-oriented teaching approaches, expert lectures from academics and practitioners, conversations with members of the European Parliament, and a practice phase to professionalize teachers for contemporary civic education on the European Union. Systematic accompanying research provides new insights into the needs, success factors, and impacts of teacher training on (European) civic education.

The online teacher training held in English will take place on 6th, 23rd & 24th November 2023 and 6th June 2024. For registration, please contact mail@fit4eu.org. Let us know your name, country, and school/institution.

The trainings are co-funded by the European Union and therefore free of charge.

Project Duration: 01/2023-12/2025; Sponsored by European Commission (Jean Monnet Actions)
