SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS
In my opinion, the central question in biology is the origin and evolution of life, therefore I am particularly interested in evolutionary aspects of cell and molecular biology, e.g. evolution of organelles. I am also interested in mechanisms that endow cells with the ability to survive under extreme environments. However, I also find other areas of biology, such as neurobiology and developmental biology, intriguing. Through my participation in this program I would like to broaden and deepen my knowledge of molecular biology and become acquainted with new molecular biology techniques.
