Workshop and panel on the topic of Metaverse in Copenhagen (5th Workshop on the Digitization of the Individual)

On December 11, 2022, the 5th "Workshop on the Digitization of the Individual" will take place in Copenhagen in conjunction with the ICIS. This year's workshop will have the theme "The digitized individual - from quantified-self to metaverse." The workshop will examine how new technologies can be used in contexts such as commerce and platforms and their impact on individuals and society. At the same time, challenges in implementing virtual environments in practice and research will be discussed.

The workshop is co-hosted by Prof. Manuel Trenz together with Prof. Christy Cheung (Hong Kong Baptist University), Adeline Frenzel (University of Augsburg), and Prof. Ofir Turel (University of Melbourne, Australia).

In addition to scientific presentations, there will also be a panel on metaverse, where experts will discuss the future implications of a metaverse and the role of science in this context. The panel participants are:
