Prof. Dr. Jan-Peter Duda

Research interests

I am a geobiologist who is deeply fascinated by the long and eventful histories of life and Earth. I explore relationships between (micro)organisms and environments through time by combining approaches from paleontology, geomicrobiology, sedimentology, and biogeochemistry. My research on Earth-life system evolution and ancient ecosystems is closely related to various other fields such as environmental sustainability and astrobiology.
