Topic "The Europeanisation of viticulture and trade. In the light of plant protection and labelling law":
The background to this year's Wine Law Day is the CAP strategy plans of the member states of the European Union, which are required for the new funding period 2023-2027 starting this year. The 11th Monzel Wine Law Day would therefore like to devote the first part to the topic of plant protection. On the one hand, the focus will be on the reduction targets of the EU Commission and, on the other hand, on the prohibition of the use of plant protection products. The second part of the Wine Law Day will be devoted to selected areas of labelling law. In addition to a critical appraisal of the amendment of the nutrition declaration, the question will be answered as to whether profiling or rather liberalising labelling is the right way to lead the German wine industry into the future.
