SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

I am interested in various areas of molecular biology, especially in the fields of plant studies and algae research. Within plant studies, I enjoy uncovering the molecular processes that underlie plant resistance. I am excited to explore potential modifications for crops that could enhance tolerance to face the challenges of global warming. In the field of algae research, I am fascinated by the potential of these organisms to serve as an eco-friendly source for various chemicals and fuels. During my Bachelor’s thesis I already conducted research on the heterologous production from the microalgae C. reinhardtii, and I would certainly enjoy continuing to explore this field of research.
