Scenarios for use in everyday work life

Textgenerative AI models like ChatGPT excel in one thing: Writing texts. This means, their capabilities aren't limited to writing in itself, they can also answer questions, solve tasks, make suggestions, and more. And if they can do these things, they can also:

  • create drafts for teaching
  • provide outline
  • create exercises
  • summarize texts
  • simplify texts
  • evaluate solutions
  • translate
  • give feedback
  • ...

On this page, we collected some ideas, on where AI-tools can support teachers in their everyday work life. This collection is not complete by far - it is merely intended as an impulse for anyone interested in further looking into AI.
Naturally, we assume that the results produced by AI will not be taken as they are, but they should rather be evaluated critically and be seen as a first draft. Still, using AI can prove to be very useful, since it can help save a lot of time, which can then be used for tasks that no computer could do, such as personal feedback to students.
