The Digital Learning and Teaching team offers training sessions & events (online and in person), partly in close cooperation with Higher Education Didactics.

After a brief introduction to the topic of AI, the AI Teaching Workshop offers you the opportunity to actively try out various tools with the help of different tasks and then discuss their possible use in your teaching with other teachers. Please register using the form below.

The Online Teaching Dialogue (OLD) is an event series that regularly addresses current topics related to teaching and learning (in online settings). These topics often also have a connection to AI in the higher education context. Practical tips and tricks for teaching are discussed here, and an exchange of experiences between participants is made possible. The subproject “AI in Studying, Teaching and Examinations” is a joint project of all state universities in Lower Saxony. Teachers are to be enabled to develop AI competencies and to use AI reflectively and responsibly. The previous event series “AI Compact” will be continued in the summer semester of 2026. Topics include academic writing and working with AI, as well as examinations with AI and regulations around AI in university teaching. The individual sessions offer an input phase (approx. 30–40 minutes) followed by time to exchange with the speakers and each other.

The online workshops from the series "AI Competencies for Teachers" are open to external participants. Various possibilities for using AI in education are addressed. Teachers are thus to be equipped with the necessary competencies to use AI tools reflectively and purposefully in teaching.
