SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

I am highly interested in epigenetics. Very intriguing to me is how spatial organisation of chromatin helps regulating transcription. In my future research, I would like to focus on the potential of histone modification to contribute to the expression network. Especially interesting is the association of ncRNAs with histone marks and their ability to guide chromatin remodelers for locus-specific expression. Additionally, I am curious about the link between the change of scale and state in the process of combinatorial binding of transcription factors.
