Prof. Dr. Daniela Rastetter
Prof. Dr. Daniela Rastetter is Professor of Human Resources and Gender at the University of Hamburg, WiSo Faculty, Department of Socioeconomics. She was head of the Master's program in Human Resource Management for many years and teaches in this program as well as in the Bachelor's program in Socioeconomics. She is also a member of the inter-university Center for Gender and Diversity and co-editor of the Journal for Diversity Research and Management and the journal Arbeit. She studied psychology and completed her doctorate and habilitation at the University of Augsburg. Her research focuses on anti-discrimination, gender equality policy in companies, diversity management, micropolitics and emotional work in the service sector. She has conducted research on the advancement of women in male domains, women in management positions, (anti-)discrimination through personnel procedures, sexuality and power in organizations, emotional work and subjectivation in sales services, emotional work and defensive processes in care work, micropolitics in the workplace and diversity and digitalization. Methodologically, she mainly uses qualitative methods and is interested in the subjective interpretation and construction of corporate working environments. Current projects include strategic surface acting in the care professions, discrimination in the interplay of digital and human personnel decision-making processes and the role of stereotypes and micropolitics in the implementation of diversity in the workplace.
