Yvonne Wechuli
Yvonne Wechuli (she/her) is a research associate in the unit Disability, Inclusion and Social Participation at the Institute of Social Work at the University of Kassel. She studied Rehabilitation Pedagogy (B.A.) and Rehabilitation Sciences (M.A.) at TU Dortmund University and the University of Linköping. Recently, she submitted her doctoral thesis in Special Education and Rehabilitation at the University of Cologne. In this thesis, she outlines how feelings are theorized in Disability Studies and how these could be expanded productively. Her methodological interests lie in participatory research, ethnography and research on affect. Currently, she researches affect-based resistance to an accessible design of free spaces.
