Teresa Löckmann

Teresa Löckmann (she/her) is a PhD candidate at the Chair of Organizational and Administrative Sociology at the University of Potsdam and a member of the interdisciplinary research group “Law – Gender – Collectivity”. Together with Prof. Dr. Maja Apelt and Dr. Matthias Schneider, she addresses gender knowledge and gender justice in consumer organizations as part of the subproject “The Organization of Consumer Protection”. In her dissertation, Teresa explores the question of organization in movement research on the one hand and the significance of 'organization' in sociological organizational research on the other. Using the empirical case of the menstrual movement – activism aimed at destigmatizing, demystifying, and breaking the taboo around menstruation – she examines organizing within (non-)organizations of movement actors.
Teresa Löckmann's research focuses include organizational sociology, movement sociology, gender sociology, police research, and qualitative social research.
