Growing up on a cattle farm in Austria, I developed an early interest in animal breeding and livestock systems. Building on my academic and practical experience in agriculture and animal breeding, I am now continuing my scientific path as a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Göttingen.

In the research group of Christine Große-Brinkhaus, I further develop my activities in research and teaching in the field of animal breeding and genetics as part of an engaged team. My research focuses on sustainable and animal-friendly breeding strategies, with a particular interest in novel trait complexes related to animal health, welfare, heat tolerance, and resilience. I am especially interested in cattle breeding and livestock systems in both local and global contexts.
